Treadmill Sales

The summer means savings on treadmills. Typically the summer is a slow time of the year for sales. In fact, sales are usually about a third of what they are during the winter months. What that means for you is the opportunity to take advantage of some excellent bargains.

When you combine the slow season with a down economy, you've got dealers and manufacturers anxious to get rid of excess inventory.

Below I have listed several excellent bargains. Some are models where the price is ridiculously low, others are just good values. (Note: These are the prices as of 6/18/08 and can change without notice.)

Budget Treadmills

ProForm 11.5 Competitor - It is on sale for $839 with shipping at ProForm.com. I'm not sure how ProForm can sell a treadmill with a 3.0 HP motor and a 60" long treadbelt for this low. Especially when you factor in the cost for delivery. I did notice a $30 surcharge for handling. They must be taking a cue from the airlines. Still a great deal. Mid-Range Treadmills

Smooth Fitness 6.25 - The Smooth 6.25 treadmill is a solid machine with an excellent service record. I talked to the head of sales and they are currently overstocked and need to move inventory. Sole Fitness F80 - Although the $1,499 price with shipping (SoleTreadmill.com), is the usual sales price, it is still a solid value. This is one of the best treadmills available for around $1,500. NordicTrack Elite 7500 w/ Flat Screen TV - For $1,799 with shipping at NordicTrack.com, you get a treadmill pumped with features. They include 7" flat screen TV, sound system with subwoofer, 3.5 HP motor, 60" long treadbelt, 35 workout programs and heart rate control. They only fall flat on the warranty (1-year parts and labor), you will want to extend it. Otherwise, this is a great cardio exercise machine, which also entertains. BowFlex Series 7 - The company that makes the BowFlex strength equipment, also builds some decent treadmills. The Series 7 is marked down to $1,399 with shipping on Amazon.com.
