Treadmill "Best Buy" RecommendationsNordicTrack C 900 — NordicTrack leads the way in value and innovation. Typically selling for $999 with shipping, the NordicTrack C 900 offers one of the largest motors (3.0 HP) and longest running surfaces (60") at this price range. The deck is very forgiving and provides good shock absorption. There is a wide range of pre-installed workout programs, in addition to the innovative iFit Live personal training feature with Google Maps. You get a lifetime motor, 3-years parts and 1-year labor warranty. Smooth 5.65 — Smooth has always had a top performing treadmill at the $999 price range. The Smooth 5.65 is their fourth generation and with each version they just keep on getting better. It may not have some of the innovative features found on the NordicTrack C 900, however it is one of the most durable treadmills at this price range. Evidence is the warranty, which provides lifetime on the motor, 4-years parts and 2-year labor coverage. This is the only treadmill at $999 that comes with 2-year service. NordicTrack Commercial 1750 — Like the NordicTrack C 900, the Commercial 1750 is packed with innovative features, in addition to having the largest motor and deck at the competitive $1,500 price range. You get a hefty 3.5 continuous duty HP motor, a 60" long deck and large 3" rollers. Other features worth noting is iFit Live (1-year subscription included), an 8" full color touch screen display, and the ability to decline the deck 3% so you can simulate running up and down hills. This impressive package is backed with a lifetime motor, 5-year parts and 2-year labor warranty. Sole F80 — The F80 treadmill has received my "Best Buy" rating for the last 4 years. It sells for $1,500 and has consistently been one of the better values at that price range. As with the Smooth 5.65, the Sole F80 does not compete with the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 for features, however, over the years it has proven to be one of the most durable running machines at this price range. NordicTrack Elite 9500 Pro — A monster of a treadmill built for serious runners. It comes with all those innovative features found on the NordicTrack Commercial 1750, like iFit Live. In addition, the ability to decline the deck, and 3" rollers. In addition, you get an extra wide 22" x 60" running surface, a powerful 3.8 continuous duty HP motor and the low-impact QuadFlex shock absorption deck. However, what makes this running machine a standout is the 10" touch screen color display with the Android browser. You can surf the web or read your email as you workout. Add to that a decent sound system with MP3 input, and you've got a heavy duty treadmill that also motivates and entertains. Sole F85 — Like the Sole F80, the Sole F85 has a long standing reputation for durability. You'll find nothing fancy on this treadmill. You are basically getting a low maintenance running machine that is built to take a beating.
