 The
Z9 treadmill is one of Spirit's most popular models. Although a relatively new
design, it is in a price range where Spirit has always been a top contender. Now
that their treadmills are built overseas, they have gotten away from the dull
boxy look, to a more streamline design.
You'll
find the Spirit Z9 selling for approximately $1,300. In that price range they
offer some of the best components you'll find. That includes a powerful 3.0 continuous
duty motor that has a 30 year warranty. In other words, you get a motor that should
last the life of the treadmill and more. It
is built with 2.5" rollers. With rollers the bigger the better, simply because
a larger roller means fewer rotations. This extents the life of not only the roller,
but the bearings, belt and motor. Which are some of the components most likely
to wear out. The deck is 1" thick, and can withstand the impact of a runner
or a weight challenged individual. For
the price you are also getting heart rate control, a six window LED display and
a reasonable sized 20" x 55" walking/running surface. When you look
at the complete package it is a "Good" value. Spirit

Having
worked with a company that use to private label Spirit Treadmills, we are familiar
with this brand. With this particular model the only factor that is keeping it
from being the best in its class, is the intensity of the competition. And that
competition includes Sole Treadmills,
which are built by the same manufacturer.
This
treadmill is built to can handle walking and lite jogging. Other models to consider
are: Sole
