Note: the Spirit SR240 is no longer available. Spirit has a reputation for building a good solid treadmill. Unfortunately they recently converted all of their manufacturing overseas and their new treadmill are unproven. Experience with other manufacturers that have moved the production overseas often results in poor quality control. I would give it a year to see how the new designs prove themselves.

The SR240 is designed for both walking and jogging. For a folding treadmill this model has a very solid feel. It is backed with a decent warranty. For the price you can probably find similar models with additional features.

If it is on sale the Smooth 7.1 HR offers a slightly larger motor and heart rate control for the same price.
