Reebok Vista Treadmill ReviewI was in Chicago and dropped by the local Sports Authority to check out their treadmills. One that caught my interest was the Reebok Vista treadmill with a flat screen TV. If you've read many of my reviews, you know that I focus on the quality of machine. Bells and whistles are of secondary importance. However, in the case of a built-in TV, I find that to be an attractive feature.

Note: As of 11/07/09 the Vista was selling for $1,299. Also check out www.NordicTrack.com. Both Reebok and NordicTrack are built by the same company, and have many of the same features. I find NordicTrack has a much larger selection, and often better deals.

Let's face it, running or walking in place is boring. That is why I prefer the great outdoors. But the weather does not always cooperate, and having a treadmill at home makes exercising more convenient. Therefore, as you run or walk for a length of time and get nowhere, a television is excellent for relieving the boredom.

Reebok Treadmill ConsoleThe Reebok Vista treadmill has a built-in 7" TV. I was not that impressed with the quality of the picture, but the sound system rocked. In fact, the salesperson said when they tested the Vista; they cranked it up and could hear it across the store. Note: There is some question as to whether you can plug in an MP3 player. Check before you buy.

So what about the treadmill? For $1,299, in addition to the audio and video features, you get a lengthy 60" running surface. Great for tall individuals and for sprinting. Although, if you are planning to sprint on your treadmill I would suggest you upgrade.

The model comes with a 2.75 hp motor, which should handle walkers and light joggers. The speed tops out at 12 mph, and the incline reaches 12% grade. The deck has good shock absorption, much better than the New Balance next to it.

The Reebox Vista treadmill comes with a 1-year parts and labor warranty. I would recommend you get the extended warranty. One year for parts is not much. As if something goes wrong with the TV it can be expensive to replace.

Our Review - Reebok Vista Treadmill

Having a treadmill with a built-in TV and a sweet sound system is some excellent options. As mentioned in the Reebok review, these treadmills are built by the same company that also builds NordicTrack and ProForm. From my experience with Icon Fitness, they tend to offer better deals with these other brands.

You may want to shop around and compare features, options and warranty. You could save a few hundred dollars.

Customer Review

Not happy but satisfied - I bought this treadmill but expected something different the product Iordered was diffrent it had no connection for mp3 ipod or dvd so I felt cheated. Next time I buy i will make sure its some same model and same features.

After only 1 1/2 years, the console no longer works.  $843.00 to replace it...only 1 yr warranty from Sports Authority.
