The Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 treadmill is a model that has been out for several years under different names. They have added a few upgrades recently, but the basic design is the same. It is sold primarily through Costco, and they usually deeply discount it.
For the money it is a decent value, since you are getting a hefty motor and an extended 60" treadbelt. The only drawback is that it lacks some of the most recent innovations found on Reebok's sister brands, NordicTrack and ProForm.
Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 treadmill Features...

Our Review — Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 treadmill
They reason to buy the Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 treadmill is because Costco sells it at a bargain price, considering the feature. However, there are a couple of considerations. First, earlier versions of this model had some quality control issues. That may have been resolved since then. The customer reviews seem to have improved. Although, in the last several years there has been advances in the quality control of ProForm and NordicTrack treadmills that make those models more durable.
Second, being an older design, the Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 treadmill does not incorporate some of the latest technology you will find on NordicTrack and ProForm treadmills. For example, improved shock absorption and full color displays (some with Internet browsing ability).
Final note. If the price of the Reebok Competitor RT 8.0 treadmill was $1,299, as is it currently on ReebokFitness.com I would take a pass. But if you can get it for under $1,000 at Costco, it is worth considering.
