ProForm 790T Treadmill Features...
iFit —The iFit® Technology is the features that makes this treadmill stand out from others in its price category. With iFit technology, you can purchase iFit workout cards, which guide you through eight weeks of exercise sessions. These workouts cards are like having your own personal trainer to push you and keep you motivated to reach your fitness and/or weight-loss goals. The cards control the speed and incline of your workout and are progressive. They also include audio coaching. Several of the card series are designed by Jillian Michaels of Biggest Loser fame.
2.5 Continuous Duty Motor — They claim the motor on the ProForm 790T treadmill is commercial grade, but that is pushing it. However, this motor is sufficient for both walking and jogging. It comes with a lifetime warranty, which means it is built to last.
20" x 55" Treadbelt —55" is adequate for average height indivduals. Taller individuals and runners may want to consider a longer belt.
Speakers and MP3 Input — There are built-in speakers, and you can plug-in your iPod or MP3 player. Features that are becoming standard on most new treadmills.
16 Quick™ Calorie-Burn Workout Programs — If you don't want to opt for the iFit Live you have a generous selection of installed exercise programs that can provide a variety of challenges.
Warranty — Lifetime motor and 2-year parts and 1-year labor. Typically ProForm treadmill only come with a 1-year parts warranty.
Our Review — ProForm 790T Treadmill
When selling for $800 or less the ProForm 790T is a consideration. This is not a heavy duty treadmill, but adequate for walkers and light joggers. I would not recommend it for extremely overweight individuals. They place the weight capacity at 325 lbs. I would max suggest around 240 lbs.
If you are looking for motivation with your cardio machine, the iFit Technology and the 16 workout programs can give you plenty of challenges.
Compare the 790T to comparable ProForm and NordicTrack treadmills. Both are built by the same company, and usually you will find one model in this price range that has the best features for a bargain price.
