ProForm ZT5 treadmill Features (Also found on the ProForm 590T)

2.25 Continuous Duty Motor - This motor can handle both walkers and joggers, but I would primarily recommend this treadmill for walking.

20" x 55" Treadbelt - Your average size belt these days.  The ProForm ZT5 treadbelt length can accommodate the majority of users, except for extremely tall individuals.

Speakers and MP3 Input - You will find this on all ProForm treadmills.  In fact, this is getting to be a standard feature found on most new models.

iFit Compatible - This feature is what distinguishes ProForm treadmills from the pack.  You can purchase workout cards that focus on different fitness goals like weight loss, performance and getting fit.  The cards control the speed and incline of the treadmill and include audio coaching.  Each cards offer a progressive workout regimen and are created by professional fitness trainers.  In fact, there is a series designed and coached by Jillian Michaels of Biggest Loser fame.

Shipping Options - Both Dick's and  ProForm.com offers free shipping, however it is to the curb.  Indoor shipping is extra.

Our Review - ProForm ZT5 Treadmill

Both the ProForm ZT5 and the ProForm 590T fall in the budget class of treadmills.  They are by no means commercial grade and are best suited for moderate usage.  I would not recommend this treadmill for extremely overweight individuals.  The recommended user weight of 300 lbs. is excessive. 

ProForm treadmills are in general not heavy duty machines.  However, for budget treadmills they offers some of the best value available.  ProForm is a subsidiary of Icon Fitness, the largest fitness company in the world.  They also build NordicTrack Treadmills.

If your budget is limited and you are looking for an inexpensive cardio machine, both the ProForm ZT5 and the ProForm 590T are good values in their price range.
