At its regular price of around $1,400, the ProForm i Series 785E treadmill is overpriced.  Of course, practically all the MSRP prices are absurd.  When iSeries 785E is on sale for $800 or less, it’s a worthy consideration! 

What Makes the ProForm i Series 785E Treadmill Stand Out?

The iFit® technology that comes on the ProForm 785E is one of the features that makes this treadmill stand out from others in its price category.  With iFit technology, you can use the iFit workout cards to guide you through eight weeks of exercise sessions.  These workouts cards are like having your own personal trainer to push you and keep you motivated to reach your fitness and/or weight-loss goals.

What Other Features Will You Find on the 785E Treadmill?

The i Series 785E treadmill has a folding, space-saving design, which makes it perfect for homes that have limited space for fitness equipment.  The easy-drop shock slowly lowers the deck to prevent floor damage and to reduce the risk of injury.  When the treadmill isn’t in use, simply fold for storage.

• Up to 10% incline control – Working out on an incline boosts the intensity to get the most from your workout.
• Cooling fan – A soft, cool breeze aimed at your upper body helps to keep you comfortable during your exercise sessions.

• 2.25 CHP motor – The motor comes with a lifetime warranty, which is nice.  However, the size of the motor is really only adequate for walking.  Runners would do better with a more powerful motor.
• 20” x 55” treadbelt – The size of the walking surface is decent for walkers of average stature.  Runners and individuals who have a long stride would be more comfortable on a longer active surface.

Our Review – The ProForm i Series 785E Treadmill

The ProForm i Series 785E treadmill is comparable to ProForm’s 785 CS treadmill.  The iFit technology on both machines is what makes them stand out when put up against other treadmills in the same price category.

The 785E treadmill is not going to be as sturdy and durable as a more expensive and higher quality machine.  When on sale for around $800, this unit is a really good buy.  It is definitely better made than many other budget models.  For households with only one or two average-size users who merely want a treadmill for walking, the 785E would most likely be plenty sufficient.
