The
ProForm 755 is not a heavy-duty treadmill, but it is a good value
for a budget treadmill.
If you are looking for a machine that can handle runners, multiple
users or excessively overweight individuals, this is not the treadmill
for you. However, if you plan to primarily walk, the 755 is
worth considering.
The ProForm 755 treadmill offers a nice selection of features,
designed to assist you in achieving your fitness goals like getting
in shape and losing weight.
ProForm 755 Treadmill Features:
20"
x 55" Treadbelt - If you are a walker, this treadbelt is
an adequate length for individuals up to approximately 6'3". You'll
find some models in this price range have an 18" wide belt and a
short length. It feels very confining.
2.25 Continuous Duty HP Motor - This motor will
suffice for walkers, and should not strain when you crank up the
incline.
Console with Fan - The console is designed well.
You have can change the speed and incline with a touch of a button,
rather than having to scroll up and down.
The display is cheap, but that is to be expected with a budget
model. Regardless, it provides multiple feedback, like time, speed,
calories burned, pulse rate. You get a 2-speed fan that helps cool
you down.
Twelve Training Programs - The ProForm 755 treadmill
has twelve programs, offering a variety of challenges. I find using
different workouts tends to motivate me, and overcomes the boredom
of walking in place. The programs includes upper body, lower body
and total body scuplting programs. I believe the incorporate the
set of weights that are included with the treadmill. You also get
two user defined programs.
As with most treadmills in this price range you get hand grip pulse
sensors. This give you feedback on your heart rate, which can assist
you in getting an optimum workout. Once you determined your acceptable
heart rate exertion, you can work within that range in order to
burn the most calories. (Note: Check with your physician on your
proper heart rate level for exercising.)
Easy
Fold - The ProForm 755 treadmill is designed with shocks
for folding. This makes it effortless for lifting or dropping the
deck.
Warranty - Except for the motor coverage, the
warranty is weak. That is because ProForm hopes to upsell you on
an extended warranty, which you want to purchase. The current coverage
is 90-days parts and labor, the motor is covered for 12 years. You
probably want to extend that by 1-2 years at the checkout.
Note: As with most treadmill manufacturers, ProForm overexagerates
the weight limit. It is a typical marketing ploy. They place it
at 300 lbs., I would not recommend this treadmill to anyone over
250 lbs.
Our Review - ProForm 755 Treadmill
If your budget is limited to around $700, then the ProForm 755
is one of your better buys. The features are decent, and the quality
is above average in comparison to other models in this price range.
If you can afford a few hundred dollars more consider the NordicTrack
C 2155 (Built by the same company - Lifetime motor, 1-year parts
and labor.), or the Smooth 5.45 (Lifetime
motor, 3 years parts and 1 year labor.)
