The NordicTrack Commercial 2150 is designed for all levels of treadmill users, including serious runners. In fact, they offer it for light commercial setting. In addition, the Commercial 2150 does more than just track your progress, it offers an interactive experience that propels you to new levels.

3.8 Continuous Duty HP Motor — This is one of the largest motors that you will find on any residential treadmill. In fact, it is almost an overkill. Rated at 3.8 CHP this means it will run effortlessly and quietly even at higher speeds.
20" x 60" Running Surface — Most treadmill manufacturers refer to the length a "treadbelt" rather than "running surface". Often the treadbelt can be covered with an inch or two of shroud. The extra long length accommodates the long strides of runners, especially if you are doing interval training.
3" Precision Machined Rollers — Like the motor, this is the sized rollers you would find on a commercial grade treadmill. The extra large rollers mean less stress on the belt and motor, and less wear on bearings, which results in less service issues.

iFit Live — Available only on NordicTrack and ProForm treadmills, iFit Live allows you to create personalized workouts at iFit.com and have them downloaded onto your treadmill through Wi-Fi. These are progressive exercise routines that are designed to achieve your fitness goals over a period of time. They include audio coaching from professional fitness trainers like Jillian Michaels. Your stats are recorded to your iFit.com account so you can track your progress. Studies show that individuals that track their progress are more likely to achieve their fitness goals.
 In addition to creating personalized workouts, you can define running routes on Google Maps and the NordicTrack Commercial 2150 treadmill will simulate the terrain with the incline/decline feature. You can literally run the world. You can select from a library of routes through famous national parks and cityscapes, or you can define your own route. You can view your progress with either a satellite or street view on Google Maps. I've used this feature and was able to run down my local streets and see familiar sites like my favorite big old oak tree. In addition, NordicTrack sponsors races where you can run against others who have an iFit Live treadmill and track your progress in relation to the pack and the leader.

 10" Full Color Touch Display with Android Browser — With the Android equipped browser you can connect online and listen to music, watch videos on YouTube, read your email, and catch up on your favorite web sites. In addition, you can access the full features of Google Maps on iFit Live without the need of a laptop or smart phone.
Decline and Incline the Deck (-3%-15%) — Currently I am not aware of any other treadmill brand, other than ProForm, that allows you to decline the deck. There are two advantages...
- You can simulate going downhill, which targets different lower body muscles.
- You get an enhanced experience when using the iFit Live feature on Google Maps. When you follow a route the treadmill will mimic both going up and down hills, which gives you more of a feel of actually running outdoors.

Speakers and MP3 Input — NordicTrack offers some of the best speaker systems found on a treadmill. Many brands cheap out on this feature.

Folding Treadmill — The list the NordicTrack Commercial 2150 treadmill as a folding treadmill. However, at 260 lbs. this is not the kind of treadmill you will want to fold and move regularly. It takes a bit of effort to fold-up and more effort to move about.
Unit Weight 290 Lbs — The weight is similar is similar to commercial models. When running you can expect it to have a very solid and stable feel. You'll probably want to opt for the inside delivery.

Our Review - NordicTrack Commercial 2150 Treadmill
At the beginning of this review I mentioned that with each year's new releases you get more for less. When on sale, the NordicTrack Commercial 2150 is a perfect example. If you did not have features like iFit Live, 10" Android browser/display and the ability to decline the treadmill, you would be hard pressed to find a treadmill that could match the components on the Commercial 2150 at the sale price.
NordicTrack has a competitive advantage its' competitors cannot match - economy of scale. Being part of the largest fitness equipment company in the world they can offer more for less, and when priced at $1,799 the Commercial 2150 is a perfect example. This treadmill is an excellent value at that price.
