A Strong Running Machine that Entertains

The NordicTrack Elite 7500 is a solid running machine that also has a built-in entertainment system. NordicTrack has been designing many of their treadmills with sound systems and/or flat screen TVs. The strategy is paying off, since they are some of their hottest sellers.

When they are seriously discounting this model, it is one of the better deals they offer. Below are the features that make this treadmill worth considering.

The NordicTrack Elite 7500 Features Include…

3.5 Continuous Duty HP Motor - Normally a 3.0 HP motor would be adequate for jogging or running. With a 3.5 HP motor, you have more than enough power to run smoothly and quietly at high speeds. The Elite 7500 motor comes with a lifetime warranty.

20"x 60" Treadbelt - A typical treadmill deck is usually around 54", which works for average height individuals. If you are taller, or into sprinting or interval training, you will appreciate the extra 6" of length. You won't feel like you are about to fall off the end.

iFit® Workout Card Technology - iFit technology is one of the most innovative ideas to come out of the treadmill industry. It is a series of workout programs. They come in the form of a computer card that you insert into the treadmill.

You have four types of exercises (Wellness, Weight Loss, Body Sculpting, Performance and MyProgress), with each having a series of cards starting from novice and progressing to advance. Professional fitness trainers design the workouts. They control the speed and incline of the machine, and are accompanied with audio coaching and motivation. (Cards are sold separately.)

35 Workout Programs - Unlike the iFit, these programs are a standard option, although they do not include audio coaching. I'm not sure there is another treadmill that has as generous a selection of exercise programs. They include…

• 15 personal trainer workouts, each automatically adjust the incline and speed of your treadmill. The programs have different focuses like aerobic, weight-loss or performance goals
• 4 heart rate workouts that keep you in your targeted heart rate zone by increasing or decreasing the speed when you need to raise or lower your heart rate. The Elite 7500 comes with wireless heart rate control.
• 4 personal workouts, which give you the ability to create and customize a workout and store it for future use. Ideal for setting benchmarks.
• 4 Event Training workouts, featuring a 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full-marathon run.
• 8 calorie-burn workouts (300, 400, 500, 600 calories) designed by a Certified Personal Trainer, each equipped with 2 time options.

Adjustable Cushioning Deck - Depending on your style of exercising and your weight, you can adjust the level of shock absorption of the deck. You can set the deck so you have a soft landing and a firm push-off.

Entertainment Features…

7" Flat Screen TV - I get bored on a treadmill - who doesn't. Built into the console of the NordicTrack Elite 7500 is a flat screen TV where you can watch your favorite shows or DVD. The screen also keeps track of your progress, providing various feedback.

Quality Sound System - When I was at the NordicTrack corporate offices I heard this sound system, and it was impressive. We cranked it up and the sound maintained its clarity. It includes a subwoofer and there is a port on the console for plugging in iPods.

Our Review - The NordicTrack Elite 7500

NordicTrack is setting the standard for quality fitness equipment that also entertains and motivates. The Elite 7500 is a perfect example. You have a solid machine designed for cardio fitness, which also includes audio and visuals features that further help you reach your exercise goals. When it is selling for $1,499 or less it is an excellent value.
