The
NordicTrack C 2200 is a budget treadmill primarily designed for walking. For
a budget treadmill this is not a bad deal. However, you need to be aware that
you are getting a treadmill that is primarily good for walking. If you are considering
jogging, you should plan on spending somewhere in the $1,000+ price range. Also,
you can't go by the manufacturer's suggested weight capacity. They claim this
treadmill can handle users up to 300 lbs. I would max out at about 225 lbs. A
300 lb person needs a heavy duty treadmill in the $2,000 price range. NordicTrack
C2200 features- 20"x 55" 2-ply belt. The length of this belt
should handle users at moderate or slightly above average height.
- Lifetime
motor and 1 year parts and service warranty. For a $700 treadmill, this is a generous
warranty. You still may want to consider extending the parts and labor coverage.
 - Ten
installed workout programs. Working out on a treadmill can get boring. Having
a variety of programs (hill climbing, calorie burn, interval training, etc.) can
help to motivate you to actually use the machine.
- The NordicTrack
C 2200 has one of the better consoles and displays for under $1,000. Four large
LED displays track your speed, time, distance, incline, pace, segment time, carbs
burned, calories burned and pulse, while a 7x10 workout matrix displays your workout
intensity visually.
- You can also instantly change the speed and
incline with a press of a button. You have a 1-10 selection, rather than having
to keep pressing a single button to get to your desired speed or level.
- There is a built-in fan, but the breeze is not overwhelming.
- Although
fairly standard, you get handgrip pulse monitors. I find it interesting to check
my pulse rate to make sure I'm not under or over doing it.
