lifespan tr3000i treadmill reviewThe LifeSpan Fitness TR3000i treadmill has received some rave reviews and "Best Buy" ratings.  Priced at under $1900, this treadmill is sturdy and apparently durable. It is also equipped with some interesting interactive features designed to motivate you towards your fitness goals.

To get a decent treadmill for running, one often has to spend around $2500 or more.  Less expensive machines are generally not powerful or sturdy enough to handle runners.  The LifeSpan TR3000i, however, has proven to be quite adequate for the needs of some of the most avid athletes.  If it’s good enough for runners, it’s good enough for joggers, walkers and multiple users, too!

Note: As of 11/18/09 the LifeSpan TR3000i treadmill was selling for $1,699 with shipping at Amazon.com. That is $200 less than www.LifeSpanFitness.com.

Free Membership in LifeSpan Fitnesss Club

One of the reasons the TR3000i has been so popular is because you receive a free membership to the LifeSpan Fitness Club. This is an interactive online program where you can store your workout data and monitor your progress. In addition you can...

"Create a customized workout calendar using numerous medically-based exercise programs designed by fitness professionals, based on the latest clinical research. Choose strength, cardio, flexibility and balance programs to create a workout plan that's right for you. Your workout calendar will help you stay on track."

The reason people spend considerable money on personal trainers is because they keep them on track. The LifeSpan Fitness Club may not be the same as having someone yelling at you to keep going, but it may prevent you from getting into a workout rut.

Additional Features on the LifeSpan Fitness TR3000i

  • 20” x 56” Running Surface – If the specs said it was a 56" treadbelt, that would make average it length. Since they define it as the running surface, that means it is probably equivalent to a 58" treadbelt. The belt is usually covered with a couple of inches of shroud. There are longer surfaces for the price, but it should be adequate for all but very tall runners.
  • LifeSpan TR3000 console2.75 HP continuous duty motor – This motor is just within the range of being able to efficiently provide smooth workouts for runners and larger users.
  • Sound System - You get built in speakers and the ability to plug in your iPod. Which is preferable to using headphones.
  • Folding – This feature is especially nice for users who have limited floor space.  The treadmill is a bit heavy to move around, but you can fold it when not in use to get it out of the way.
  • Attractive blue backlit LCD display – This easy-to-read display shows all the essential readouts, such as time, distance, speed, heart rate, and calories burned.
  • Programs – The TR3000 offers a nice variety of workout programs from which to choose.  Among those are six incline programs, five speed programs, two custom user programs, two My Zone heart rate programs, and a weight management program.

Our Review – The LifeSpan TR3000i Treadmill

For a treadmill in its price range, the LifeSpan TR3000i is quite a machine!  It is composed of good-quality parts and seems durable enough to withstand a lot of hard pounding.  It looks nice, too!

The shipping weight of the TR3000i is 220 pounds, so buyers will probably need assistance with moving the treadmill and setting it up.  Find a good spot to set it up, because you probably aren’t going to want to move it around very often.  Fortunately, it IS a folding treadmill, so you can fold it up to get it out of the way when it isn’t in use.

With both the Fitness Club membership and a wide variety of workout programs from which to choose, you can mix up your exercise routines regularly and never get bored.  Variety is important when it comes to staying motivated to exercise.  Whatever your fitness goals, the LifeSpan TR3000i can help you reach them.

The fact that buyers/users have rated the LifeSpan TR3000i treadmill so highly says a lot about its stability, comfort, built-in features, and ease of use.  This treadmill has been tested by walkers and runners and has evidently passed the test.

Customer Reviews

On Amazon.com the LifeSpan TR3000 received 4.5 stars our of 5 from seven reviewers.  The reviews were all very positive.  The only negative, which I feel is a positive, is one person complained how heavy the machine was.  Of course, the weight adds to the stability.

Comments:

“Between my husband and myself, we use it to walk/jog about 5 miles, three days a week…It is solid.  The motor is very quiet and doesn’t even flinch when my husband jogs (245 lbs.).  The handlebar speed and incline buttons are great!  I would strongly recommend this treadmill!”
