The Horizon T203 treadmill is their top of the line model, and is designed for both walkers and joggers. For the price you get a decent size motor and an extra long 60" belt. In addition, it is equipped with speakers and the ability to track and record your workouts and progress online.

It competes at the very competitive $999 price range, and the competition is fierce. How does it rate? It you are looking for a treadmill with a 60" belt at this price, it is one of the top three.

Features of the Horizon T203 Treadmill

• 2.75 HP Continuous-Duty Motor – A motor that will run effortlessly for joggers. When I jogged on the T203 it ran very quietly with little exertion.
• 14 Built-In Workout Programs – With two more programs than come on the T202 model, the T203 offers a wide variety of workouts from which to choose.  Alternate among your favorite workouts to keep you motivated and on track towards reaching your desired fitness goals. You also have a 1-31 day goal tracking feature.
• 20” x 60” Treadbelt – The extra length is ideal for running and for taller individuals. On a typical 54" belt you can often feel like you are about to fall of the end.
• 350 Lb. Maximum User Weight Capacity – Like most manufacturers I feel this is pushing it. I would put the weight limit at around 260 lbs.
• Adjustable Cushioning - You can adjust the cushioning to your preference. For example, joggers may want a firmer feel for a better push-off.
• Easy To Fold – This is an especially nice feature for people who have limited space in their homes.  With little effort, you can fold this unit to store it after use.
• Speakers with iPod Input - Many companies includes speakers and an input for your iPod. What makes the T203 different is that you can control the volume right on the cosole. Easier than making adjustments on a tiny iPod.
• Cooling Fan – This is a popular feature and the benefit is the breeze is pointing right at your core.
• Up to 12 MPH Speed Capacity And Up To 12% Incline Capacity – Notable is the 12% incline. Most treadmills at this price range only go up to 10%. At 12% you will get an intense cardio burn that will leave the calories in the dust.
• Warranties – As with the Horizon T101 and T202 treadmills, the T203 also has lifetime warranties on its frame and motor.  The parts warranty on the T203 is 2 years…a year longer than the parts warranties on the other two models.  All of these models have one-year labor warranties.

The Horizon T203 Treadmill: Our Review

I was impressed with the overall performance of the Horizon T203. It was very stable, considering the price. It ran quietly, even at higher speeds. I like the array of features, particularly the ability to track and monitor your progress online.

I have no problems recommending this treadmill for both walkers and joggers. It is a good value.

Other brand to consider. Both ProForm and NordicTrack have treadmills with 60" belts for the same price. The warranty is only 1 year for parts.

Smooth Fitness has a $999 model with only a 55" belt. But it comes with a 3-year parts and 2-year labor warranty.

LiveStrong Fitness, which is built by the same company that manufactures Horizon has the LiveStrong LS10.0T. It has a 55" belt with 3-years parts coverage. It was explained to me that it comes with a smaller deck, but it is more heavy duty than the Horizon T203.
