Horizon
T61 Treadmill
$600-$800
|
The
Horizon T61 treadmill is a cheaply built machine, priced for mass
appeal. The fact is, when most out of shape people decide to start
exercising they don't want to spend much money. They end up buying
a machine that is not built to last and ending either discarding
the machine, spending money to fix it, or upgrade to a quality treadmill.
The
one plus to the T61 treadmill is the one year labor warranty. If
it breaks within a year Horizon picks up the repair tab. But getting
a treadmill repaired is a pain, take my word for it.
As
with the T50 model, the T61 comes with a 1.75 continuous duty hp
motor. We feel a motor that size is underpowered for just about
any type of workout. If the motor strains during usage it is more
likely to burn-out.
If
you are sold on this treadmill we recommend it only for walking.
Horizon T61 Treadmill Reviews
We
found the T61 selling for $700, with shipping, on Amazon. Spend
a few hundred more and upgrade to a higher end Horizon treadmill.
Also consider Smooth, Sole and Healthrider. At $700 you can be certain
this treadmill is not equipped with parts that can withstand constant
abuse.
