They advertise the Horizon T40 treadmill as being able to accommodate marathon runners. That is certainly pushing the envelope. This is a good walking and jogging treadmill. If you are a marathon runner you want to look at treadmills exceeding $2,000.

Horizon makes a decent treadmill for the money. Both the motor and the deck are reasonable at this price. The labor and parts warranty is not impressive, you may want to consider paying for an extended warranty.

In this price range you may also want to consider Sole or Trimline Treadmills. In particular check out the Sole F80 Treadmill. It comes with a 2 year service warranty.
