Life Fitness T5-0 Treadmill Review

Life Fitness T5-0 treadmillI recently made a trek to the big city to check out the Life Fitness treadmills.  In particular, I tried out the Life Fitness T5-0, which is their mid-range home treadmill.  A very impressive machine that ran extremely smooth, and was very quiet.

I spoke to Brandyn Strother, at US Fitness, and out of the various brands on the floor he had the most positive reviews of this particular model.  He mentioned that the Life Fitness T5-0 was a low maintenance machine, and that the company customer service was one of the best.

However, we both agreed that the design of the console was abit annoying.  You can find out why and learn more a my Life Fitness T5-0 Review.

Treadmill Purchase in Canada

Here is a question for a new treadmill buyer…

Hello,I have read carefully through your treadmill reviews and have noted the recommendations and rankings.  I am in Canada, so the pricing is quite different, especially with the January sales on.  As a result, it is a bit tough to directly apply rankings which are presumably based on regular

U.S. pricing.  I have found some seemingly very good deals here and wonder which of them you think best, so I have converted the pricing to what it would cost in U.S. dollars.

I am looking for a solid, very dependable machine.  I will use it for walking and my girlfriend for jogging and it is possibly that I might return to jogging after a 25 year absence but am unlikely ever to get very serious about running.  I know that there are cheaper machines appropriate for walking but I want good quality and weighing 210lbs at present, something that will handle my weight and 6’0” height easily. Fold-ability would be nice also but not at the expense of quality.Which would do you recommend most highly?

Thanks, Karl Read more …

Treadmills With TVs

Treadmill with televisionIf there is a new hot trend in treadmills, it is models equipped with TVs.  This concept makes sense.  Walking or running in place can be very boring.  As hard as you try, you never get anywhere, and the scenery never changes.  That is why you find rows of televisions in front of the treadmills at health clubs. NordicTrack Treadmill Reviews

I recently had the opportunity to go out to Logan, Utah and visit the Icon Fitness plant, where they build NordicTrack treadmills.  Prior to my trip I had a rather negative view of Icon because of their budget models built under the Weslo, Image and ProForm name.  I was surprised to find out that under the NordicTrack name they were building some impressive machines. Treadmill Reviews and Ratings

Welcome to the Treadmill Ratings and Review blog.   If you are in the market for a treadmill, I want to assist you in getting the best value.  I also want to make sure you get a machine that helps you achieve your fitness goals.

Some are cheaply built, while others are commercial grade.  Some are designed solely for walking, while other can handle marathon runners.

How do you determine the best treadmill for your needs?  You consider your fitness levels, and look at the models that best fit those levels.  For example, you want to factor whether you will use the machine for walking, jogging or running.  Then you need to consider the weight of the user, and the number of users.

From there you consider which options are most important  like heart rate control, sound system, installed programs, fans, etc.

In addition, you need to look at the extent of the warranty, the company reputation and their customer service.

If you do your homework, you”ll end up with a machine that is built to withstand your desired usage.

I worked in the fitness equipment industry for over 10 years.  In fact, I marketed treadmills.  Therefore, I know how to distinguish the hype from the facts.

Stay tune as we cover all sorts of information designed to make you an educated treadmill consumer.
