Smooth
5.65 Treadmill The Smooth 5.65 is one of the most durable and reliable treadmills at the very competitive $999 price range (Includes Shipping). The 5.65 is equipped with a powerful motor, an impressive shock absorption deck and is very stable for the price. It has an excellent service record and is backed with a 2-year labor and 4-year parts warranty. The most extensive warranty at this price. You can get a comparably priced treadmill with more bells and whistles, but the quality will not match. Smooth has always offered one of the best values at $999.
$1,000 - $1,500
There are two winners in this category.
NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill — The Commercial 1750 includes some very impressive specs for the price including a 3.5 HP motor, 60" treadbelt, sound system, color touch screen display and a 5-year parts and 2-year labor warranty. However, what makes the Commercial 1750 a standout is the innovative iFit Live feature. Your treadmill communicates with the Internet, allowing you to download customized workouts from Jillian Michaels, track your progress online, and simulate running trails around the world while you visualize it thru Google Maps. The total package makes the Commercial 1750 a winner.
Sole F80 Treadmill — The Sole F80 has received my "Best Buy" rating for several years. It is a solid performer with an impressive service record. In fact, their residential folding treadmills are used by the Hilton chain for in-room fitness. If they can endure commercial use, think what they will do in your home. The F80 weighs a hefty 250 lbs., comes with oversized 2.75" rollers, a 20" x 60" running surface, sound system, wireless heart rate control and a 5-year parts and 2-year labor warranty. Customer feedback on all Sole treadmills have been very positive because it is a very durable machine.
$1,500 - $2,000
NordicTrack Elite 9500 PRO Treadmill The NordicTrack Elite 9500 PRO is a heavy duty running machine equipped with some of the most innovative features found on any treadmill. You get iFit Live with the ability to virtually run the world or get personalized workouts with audio coaching. You also have a 10" full color touch display with Internet browser capability. In addition there is a 4.0 HP motor, 22" x 60" running surface, 3" rollers, premium sound system, the ability to decline 3 percent, a fan that adjusts with the speed, and 5-year parts and 2-year labor warranty. This raises the bar on what a cardio machine should be.
$2,000 +
Precor 9.35 Treadmill The frame and many of the components on the Precor 9.35 are the same as their commercial grade treadmills. This machine is one of the most durable on the market. The 10 year parts warranty is evidence of how low maintenance it is. However, that is only half of the story. The Precor 9.35 is designed with biomechanical and ergonomic features that give it one of the most rewarding treadmill workouts in the industry. The shock absorption is exceptional. In addition, the programming offers the ability to track your "Personal Best" and set paces to beat it. Overall, it is potentially the best treadmill available, but at a price.
Value Buy
